Meat cans for dogs not only as a perfect dietary supplement

Some dogs are already born with sensitive digestion, at some it may occur later in life. Or an allergy for a component of the food they used to like and we considered as suitable may occur. For such cases, meat cans can be a great supplement of normal dry dog food or its full replacement.

It is important that the can content is based on muscles and bowels. It corresponds to natural dog diet and it doesn’t place unnecessary burden on their organisms and it also gets exactly what it needs to function properly. It is safer to pick the so-called monoprotein cans for the more sensitive dogs – i.e. cans which contain only one type of meat, muscles and bowels. Rice or sweet potatoes should be inside together with meat if it is a can with a side dish.

In general, this combination of monoprotein, i.e. one type of meat, and hypoallergenic side dish reduces the risk of allergies and food intolerance. Sweet potatoes also have positive influence on the health of the digestive tract, support the activity of the immune system and help to control the blood sugar level. Therefore, you can give it to your dog also as a prevention to reduce the risk of allergies or food intolerance.

The advantage of meat cans is also the fact that usually also dogs who are usually picky or don’t have so much appetite as other dogs usually like them on the contrary to dry dog food. At the same time, the organism of these dogs will get necessary proteins from meat your furry buddy’s body needs for a proper development. Various animal tissues contained in a quality meat can contain various sources of proteins.

You should definitely pay attention to the percentage of quality meat contained in the meat can and its proper processing. I choose meat gluten-free cans for my dog as dietary supplements to increase the income of food and liquid for stress conditions. I also check if they contain salmon oil – it mainly serves as a source of Omega-3 fat acids – and if they don’t contain soya and genetically modified food.

There are also cans for puppies on the market these days. If you think your puppy is becoming a proper gourmet, you can give meat cans a try. In my opinion, no puppy can resist pieces of meat and bowels prepared in paté :).

And what do you give to your furry friend, is it only dry food or do you also give it meat cans?
