Pomeranians are good as companions for both lazy bones and sports people. Their upbringing and training is trouble-free thanks to their intelligence.
They are excellent at getting what they want from their owners and that is usually their attention. Their fur needs a lot of attention, it needs to be combed every day and cut once a month or two.
These dogs who come from Pomerania (the region on the north of Germany and Poland) were originally used as sheep dogs even though they are classified as miniature breeds these days. Mainly queen Victoria who liked them very much and allegedly contributed to their miniaturization made them popular.
