Same as with dog record holders, we will find many cat records as well. For example, do you know, what is the record in the number of cats living under one roof? 

The oldest cat

Cats live up to an average of 9–15 years. But Creme Puff from the USA lived up to admirable 38 years!

The heaviest cat

The heaviest tomcat recorded was Himmy, again from the USA. He weighed some astonishing 21.3 kg. He lived for ten years.

The smallest cat

The smallest cat in the book of Guinness World Records is Mister Peebles, also from the USA. Mister Peebles weighs only 1.5 kg and due to a genetic defect, he is only 15 cm tall.

The most numerous cat litter

Burmese cat called Tarawood Antigon gave birth to a litter of 19 kittens, out of which 15 survived – one female cat and fourteen tomcats.

The most expensive cat

While 10 million was paid for the most expensive dog, the most expensive cat costs 3 million crowns. It is Zeus, an Asian Leopard cat.

The cat with the most fingers

Normal number of fingers for a cat is 18. However, the book of Guinness World Records lists a tomcat called Jake, who has 27 of them!

Most cats under one roof

Jack and Donna Wright Kingston from the USA have been listed in the book of records for living with 689 cats under one roof.

The longest cat

Tomcat Leo is a Maine Coon. Apart from measuring the record 121.9 cm from his nose to its tail, he’s also as big as an eight-year-old.

The richest cat

The richest cat is surely Blackie, who inherited about 450 million crowns from her owner.
